A Burleson local, Misty Stasney is the owner and resident family nurse practitioner at JM Wellness & Aesthetics. With over 20 years of experience in the medical field, she began her career as a phlebotomist, with a CNA, LVN, ADN RN, BSN RN, MSN RN, and MSN APRN FNP-C under her belt. She has also worked in med surg, cath lab, cardiac and neuro units, and in an emergency department. In college, she received her DNP (Doctorate of Nursing Practice) from TCU, with honors in the top 10% of her graduating class
As a Mean Green Eagle, Dr. Amanda Akin, DO, BSN, RN, received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of North Texas in 2005. Since then, Dr. Akin has graduated from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medical School in Fort Worth and has become board-certified in Emergency Medicine. After medical school, she completed a traditional osteopathic internship in Danville, VA, and then came back to Fort Worth to complete her Emergency Medicine residency at John Peter Smith Hospital.
Jake is a graduate of TCU and has also completed post-graduate studies at Angelo State University. Jake’s primary background is in emergency medicine with a specialization in intensive care. He’s also an expert in IV therapy, botox, dermal fillers, PRP, stem cells, and hormone therapy. On average, Jake manages more than 500 hormone therapy patients a month. On a personal note, Jake and his wife Erin have a daughter named Sage, plus two dogs.
As an Alabama native, Devin earned his role as a pediatric nurse practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Spanning 10 years, his background is in pediatric emergency/urgent care medicine and neonatal intensive care. Though he is “technically” an adult, his wife would say that he is a child at heart. Which comes as no surprise, considering his passion for pediatrics. With two kids of his own, he understands the daily struggles of parenting and the impact a sick kiddo can have on the entire family. His goal is to ensure that his patients are treated how he would want his children treated and to help their parents breathe a sigh of relief. His hope is that he wouldn’t be viewed as your child’s healthcare provider but more of a collaborator in their journey to adulthood.
Cassidy Windham, RN, BSN, brings a unique blend of expertise and dedication to her role as a Nurse Injector. Cassidy specializes in facial balancing and skin health, delivering natural and rejuvenating results that enhance her clients' confidence and well-being. Cassidy's approach to facial aesthetics is both artistic and scientific. She is passionate about creating harmonious, balanced results while prioritizing skin health. Her clients appreciate her personalized consultations, where she carefully listens to their goals and crafts tailored treatment plans that achieve subtle yet transformative outcomes. Cassidy earned a Bachelor’s degree in nursing through the University of Phoenix. She is continuing her education in Family Nurse Practitioner with a specialization in dermatology. She is married with two children, three dogs and a hairless cat. In her free time she enjoys traveling, trying new foods, and fitness/wellness. Coffee is her love language.
Brooke is a resident of Burleson and is our medical assistant and phlebotomist. She has four years in the medical field and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor’s in public health. She aspires to be accepted into the UT Southwestern Medical School and is studying to be a surgeon. In her spare time, Brooke loves to read and go to concerts, as well as supporting her favorite sports team, the Dallas Stars.
Grace Haskins is our newest medical assistant/phlebotomist in training. She is currently a medical student at Tarrant County College where she is majoring in biology. She plans to transfer to UTA in the fall of 2024. Her ultimate goal is to be a Physician Assistant. Grace is a bona fide Swiftie and enjoys spending time with her dogs Lucky and Jake, reading thriller romance novels, and working out.
Delaina graduated from Fort Worth’s Remington College and received a certification in Medical Billing and Coding. Having started as a receptionist, she quickly realized her passion was to help her surrounding community. For that reason, Delaina has been in the medical field for nearly 20 years, almost a decade of that as a health clinic billing manager.
Jamie is our assistant office manager, esthetician, and phlebotomist. She received her esthetician license from Ogle in 2020 as well her phlebotomy certification from Loan Star Phlebotomy. Jamie graduated from Tarleton State University with a BBA in Business Management in May, 2024. She enjoys spending her weekends with her husband Holden and their long hair miniature dachshund Tank.
